3rd Annual Haunted Corn Maze Bash

On Saturday, we held our 3rd Annual Haunted Corn Maze Bash.  This year, things went a little different than usual, but we all had a great time.  My sister, Chelsi, was unable to attend due to weather delays at her OU football game.  We actually missed the maze this year!  We had no idea that they stopped selling tickets at 10pm!  They only sell tickets for 2 hours!

Anyway, we went with a vampire theme and my sister Lisa cooked up an amazing feast for us.  We had Candy Corn Fudge, Pumpkin-Cranberry Bread, Hot Dog Mummies, Potato Skin Ghosts, Entrail Salad (homemade pasta salad), Bloody Bat Wings (tortilla chips and salsa) with Monster Vomit (guacamole), and Sinister Skulls (cream cheese and Peach Pineapple Chipolte salsa).  Delicious!  We also had some Type O+ (pomegranate martinis).  Everyone had a great time and everything turned out awesome!

Check out the table!

My Mama's Safari Birthday Party!

I am so excited to share this safari party that I styled for my mama's 50th birthday!  We had an amazing day sitting outside talking and playing games.  I think that Uno Stacko turned out to be the funnest part :)  The weather was absolutely perfect and everything looked and tasted AMAZING!  The snack table included a wonderful tiger cake made by my sister Lisa, turkey roll-ups, 7-layer dip, dipped oreos and brownies, complete with brownie toppers by Two Sugar Babies.

Cute & Flirty Graduation Party

I am pleased to present this cute & flirty graduation party that Leslie Earnest Studios had the privilege of styling for my sister-in-law Candice's high school graduation.  She had a long road and many hiccups along the way, but I always knew she could do it if she put her mind to it.  I am so proud of you Candice!

P.S. I apologize for the picture quality.  The room that the party was held in was so dark!

I framed her graduation invitation as part of the table decorations, and I think it turned out beautifully.

The foods were absolutely delicious.  My sister, Lisa, and I made them all ourselves.  I do have to say, we need some more practice on our cake ball presentation, but they tasted amazing!  My sister made a homemade strawberry cake and cream cheese frosting for them.  Yum!  We used berry oreos for the dipped oreos and they were to die for!  The turkey roll-ups are one of my specialties that get requested at every party I attend.

My sister baked banana cupcakes and swirled strawberry frosting on them.  Delicious!

And last, but certainly not least, the graduate!  Congratulations Candice!!!

Classy Save the Date Cards

I want to share these classy Save the Date cards that Leslie Earnest Studios just finished up!  I designed these postcard-style Save the Date cards for Kindra, a friend of my sister's.  Her colors are black and red, and I thought that they really worked well together on the cards.  I think that the postcard-style design is a great way to send out Save the Date cards.  Kindra chose to have the information on the back centered and send them out in envelopes, but the back side could easily be converted so that it can be sent as a postcard.

Bear with me, I am no photographer :)

Look for pictures from the graduation party later in the month!

Buffalo Chamber of Commerce maps are in!

I am excited to announce that the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce county maps are in!  I have been working with the Chamber on this project for a long time now. Almost a year ago, I was asked to design the layout and advertisements for a Harper County map project that the Chamber was working on.  When I first signed on to the job, I had no idea just how big of a project it would become.  After many delays, technical issues, etc, I am glad to say that we came up with a really great product.  I am grateful to have been given the chance to work on this project.  It has been a great learning experience for Leslie Earnest Studios.

The map features a map of Harper County on one side, and maps of all of the towns in Harper County on the other side.  Around the border of both sides are advertisements and information and pictures about the area.  Maps are free of charge, and are available at the Buffalo Town Hall and the Harper County Journal.

A SWOSU Graduation Party

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of watching my baby sister graduate from college, and I got to throw her and her roommate a party!  When I designed her invitation for her, she wanted to stick with her college's school colors and use the logo in the design so I decided to do the same with the party design.  I made her an 8x10 photo collage that I placed on the table for display as well.  All printables and designs by Leslie Earnest Studios, with the help of my amazing helpers: Lisa, Tracy and Christina- my sister and cousins :)  Thank you guys so much with all of your help cutting and assembling!  The adorable fondant cupcake toppers and cupcakes were made by Skye Carpenter.  She did an absolutely amazing job, especially for her first time working with fondant!  The cookies and sandwiches were made by my sister Lisa.  I think the kids had all of the cookies eaten by the time the adults could get to them ;)

The invitation.  On-screen the bows look a little purple, but printed they are definitely blue.

I just adore the little bulldog on the SWOSU logo!

Caught my son with his hands in the cookies :)

The Graduate!

Congratulations Chelsi on graduating from college!  I am SOOOO proud of you!  You have big dreams and you are more than capable of achieving them.  Good luck!

A Buggy 1st Birthday Party!

I am so happy to be able to share my niece Paige's 1st birthday party!  The party was just amazing, and everything went off without a hitch.  My sister and I were so happy with the way everything turned out.  We couldn't have done it without the help from our sister Chelsi, our mom Sharon and Aunt Carla!  They slaved away Friday evening on whatever project we handed their way :)  Thank you so much!

Bear with me.  I am no photographer :)

Sweet table setup
The sweet table looked amazing!  The cookies and cakes were made by my sister Lisa.  The cookies were decorated by my sister Chelsi and Aunt Carla.  Cupcakes were made by my sister-in-law Candice.  They were strawberry-banana and they tasted amazing!  We served hamburgers, hot dogs and chips from a picnic basket.  Too cute!

Thank you so much to Charynn at Two Sugar Babies for these amazing fondant bugs and letters for our cake!  They looked amazing and they worked so well with our theme.  My sister made a watermelon cake that was very scrumptious and really added to the Spring feel of the party :)

The birthday girl was given her own little 1 cake to tear into.  Too bad she was like her big brother was at his first birthday party, and didn't want ANYTHING to do with it!  At least she didn't scream like he did when she saw the frosting on her hands :)  The flowers for the 1 cake were purchased at Wal-Mart.  This was before I knew about Charynn!

I was so happy with the way the cupcake wrappers turned out!  The ribbon weaved through them just really made them stand out.

I just had to share this photo collage I made of the kids enjoying the party.  Too cute!

And last but certainly not least, the birthday girl herself...Paige!

Thank you so much for Caryn at Call It A Party for the beautiful onesie and bow!

Enjoying everyone singing to her!

Easter Goodie Bags

I decided to make some Easter Goodie bags for my son Tripp's Easter party at his daycare and thought I would share.   I found these adorable carrot shaped goodie bags at Dollar General and bought some assorted candies, stickers and plastic Easter eggs for fillers.  I put some candy straight into the bags, and some in the eggs and placed them in the bags.  I made some custom favor tags and tied them on with green ribbon.  Simple, adorable and cheap!

Just wanted to show you a little of the work I have done in the past.  Bear with me, the photos are not that great, but I am improving :)  Practice makes perfect!!

My nephew Alex's 5th birthday invite.  Spiderman, shocker! lol

My niece Caylee's 5th birthday invite.

My nephew Lathan's 2nd birthday invite.
My nephew Alex's 6th birthday party invites.  Seeing a pattern here??! lol.  Yes, my nephew likes his superheroes :)

Alex's birthday banner.  I took an actual photo of this, but it didn't turn out very well, so...

One of the signs that we made for Alex's party.
The table decorations from my sister-in-law Candice's baby shower.  Below are the party logos that you see lying on the table.  Just loved the zebra/polka dot theme!

These are from a Halloween party that me and my sisters hosted.  The Sinister Skulls is a cream cheese skull with pineapple salsa.  Yum!!
