Somewhere Over the Rainbow Party

Last weekend was my niece Paige's 3rd birthday, and for her theme she chose Rainbows. We had so much fun putting this party together! So many bright, happy colors and it fit my niece perfectly.

Surprisingly, we did not do a rainbow cake. My niece wanted cake pops and cupcakes, so that is what we made. For party favors, she decided she wanted me to make crayon boxes and candy bar wrappers.

Here are some photos from the party!

Her chair sign was falling down :)

The birthday girl! She was so excited about people singing to her.

I had such a fun time with this party. I hope you all enjoyed it!

St. Patrick's Day Party

This weekend, my sister Lisa decided to come for a visit. My other sister Chelsi mentioned that we should celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and OF COURSE, I had couldn't go without making a party out of it! LOL. With it just being my sisters and our families and a few friends, we didn't do a lot of decorating but we sure had a lot of fun! My sister Lisa made a shamrock cake that turned out DELICIOUS! Chelsi bought a bunch of fruit and I made a rainbow out of it. The fruit went better with the kids than anything else! I also got some Hershey's Kisses and made some labels for them. I tell you, I had no idea how hard it would be to cut out all of those tiny circles! I also made a banner and used some tiny cauldrons and St. Patrick's Day coins I got at Party Galaxy. We also cut out some shamrocks from green construction paper and wrote little sayings and questions (such as "What are the colors of the rainbow?") for a game for the kids.

Here are some pictures!

A Parisian Soiree

We recently celebrated the 7th birthday of my beautiful niece Caylee. For her theme, she chose a Paris party. She was pretty specific about what she wanted, including a Barbie cake with the actual Barbie inside and the cake as the skirt. She even googled it to show us how to do it :) Usually we make all of the cakes at our parties, but Casey decided she just didn't want to tackle this one so we ordered it. It turned out beautiful.

I focused on Caylee's silhouette for this party theme. I made little Passport coloring books for the kids, Barbie for the girls and superheroes for the boys. I converted some photos my sister Chelsi took on her trip to Paris to black and white and hung them as decor. I also made Caylee a matching tutu and shirt with her silhouette picture on it. She loved them! We served chocolate dipped oreos and strawberries, cheese and crackers, little smokies, mini sandwiches, and fruit and veggies.

Here are some pictures from the party.

Zombie Apocalypse Party

My nephew Alex turned 8 a few weeks ago. One of his absolute favorite things to do is pretend he is zombie hunting. He gets all of the other kids playing with him, some as zombies and others running around with toy guns and bows and arrows to hunt the zombies. It is actually quite entertaining. lol. When he chose to have a zombie party, I felt like it fit him to a T. I was also very excited to get to design and have a Halloween themed party in the middle of the year! I love Halloween!

We had a lot of fun with this one, and I am excited to finally get to show off the pictures!

Brain cupcakes (red velvet cupcakes with pink dyed cream cheese frosting)

Mini candy bars

My nephew wanted a zombie head for a table decoration, so I printed and put one on a stick for him. I put it in a vase and filled it full of gauze that I made "bloody" with red food coloring.

My sister went all out with the dinner. She made "Bloody Guts"- spaghetti, "Severed Fingers"- hot dogs with onion fingernails, and "Severed Hands and Feet"- meatloafs shaped into hands and feet with onions for fingernails and toenails. They tasted amazing and everyone got a real kick out of them.

My sister made a graveyard cake with glow in the dark zombies on top.

We all had a great time with this party. Most of the decorations were Halloween decorations. For the bloody tablecover, I used a white piece of fabric and used red paint to smear blood and handprints all over it. My nephew really enjoyed helping me with this part :)
